Our World 2026 – Shortlisting Event

On Wednesday 17th June 2026, our Student Leaders took part in the Grange Primary School Our World 2026 Shortlisting Event. During lunchtime, a panel of seven judges visited to listen to six fantastic project pitches developed and presented by our pupils.
The judges were incredibly impressed by the quality of the presentations, the confidence of the pupils and the thoughtful ideas they had developed to improve our school environment and enhance the experiences of children at Grange.
The judges shared many positive comments about the pitches:

Mrs Merchant commented that she particularly liked the idea of the Calm Garden Area.

Mrs Joshi said, "Very well prepared, excellent ideas. Well done everyone."

Mrs Watson praised the preparation shown by all groups, commenting that the Splash Zone pitch was very thorough. She also noted that the Sand Digger Crew presented most professionally and in an engaging way without relying on notes.

Mrs Ryatt said, "The children did so well preparing their pitches and spoke so confidently. Well done – feeling proud."

Mrs Fernandes was impressed that the Splash Zone team had considered what would happen during the winter months and had already prepared an alternative plan. The group confidently answered questions and demonstrated careful planning.

Mr Loza commented that there was a clear understanding of each project and what would be required to implement it. He noted the passionate and confident belief pupils showed in their projects and praised the presentation skills of the Sand Digger Crew.

The judges also highlighted the high quality of all the presentation boards and commented on how inspiring it was to see our Student Leaders speaking so professionally about projects they genuinely believe in.

Following the judging process, four projects have been selected to represent Grange Primary School at the Our World Event at Orley Farm School on Friday 26th June 2026:

Congratulations to all of our Student Leaders who took part. Every group should be extremely proud of the effort, teamwork, creativity and professionalism they demonstrated. The standard of all the pitches was exceptionally high, making it a difficult task for the judges to select the finalists.

We wish our four finalist teams the very best of luck as they prepare to present their projects at Orley Farm School. We are incredibly proud of every pupil who participated and look forward to seeing them represent Grange with confidence, pride and determination.
