School Day

School starts at 08:30am every day for all children and children are expected to be punctual so that the day starts well and our School functions well. Doors open at 8:30 am on both sides (Welbeck field and the playground) and children will go straight into class. Nursery and Reception children must come to the Welbeck field side as our policy is that they are too small to walk through the school by themselves and our staff are elsewhere deployed to maximise learning. Please note that many of our routines start straight away and even being a few minutes late means children miss out on key learning. Children should not be left unsupervised before 8:30am and they are the responsibility of Parents and Carers until 8:30am. There will be members of staff present in the playground, on the field and in the office and they will be available for support.

The gates close at 8.40am and after that time children must report to the office.

We appreciate that school hours do not always fit in with work, and are happy, to offer an extended hours Breakfast club from 7.30am to 8.30am and After School Club from 3:15pm to 6:00pm in the dining hall. Your child can enjoy a light meal (varies each day) and a drink, and join in various activities. Please pay your child(ren)’s Breakfast Club and After School Club fees in advance on ParentPay.

Nursery:

Morning session: 8:30 am – 11:30 am

Afternoon session: 12:15 pm – 3:15 pm

Reception and KS1:

8:30 am –  3:15pm

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4):

8:30 am – 3:15 pm

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6):

8:30 am – 3:15 pm

There is a mid-morning break of 20 minutes for all children.
