Grange School Day

School starts at 08:30am every day for all children and children are expected to be punctual so that the day starts well and our School functions well. Doors open at 8.30 am and children go straight into class from then and registration and learning start straight away. If children are late it is harder for them to settle and make the progress they need to make.

There are always members of staff present in the playground and Welbeck entrance at drop off and pick up time. The Headteacher is usually on the Welbeck side.

The gates close at 8.40 and children then need to go via the office. This causes lost learning time and should only happen on very occasional and necessary times

We appreciate that school hours do not always fit in with work, and are happy, to offer an extended hours Breakfast club from 7.30am to 8.30am in the dining hall. Your child can enjoy a light breakfast (varies each day) and a drink, and join in various activities. Please pay your child(ren)’s Breakfast Club fees in advance where at all possible on ParentPay.

We also offer an afterschool club in addition to the many extracurricular clubs that we run. Most extracurricular clubs have a waiting list so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment

Nursery:

Morning session: 8:30 am – 11:30 am

Afternoon session: 12:15 pm – 3:15 pm

Reception and KS1:

8:30 am –  3:15pm

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4):

8:30 am – 3:15 pm

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6):

8:30 am – 3:15 pm

There is a mid-morning break of 20 minutes for all children

All classes from Year 1 –Year 6 participate in the Daily Mile which provides regular exercise opportunity beyond PE lessons
