2026

This year, we celebrated World Book Day in style. The school was full of colour and imagination as everyone arrived dressed as their favourite book characters. There was an incredible amount of creativity shown in the costumes and it was fantastic to see so many inventive and thoughtful outfits - not just from the children but adults too!

One of the highlights of the day was our annual Great Grange Progressive Story Write, where each class contributed to building an exciting story together.

Throughout the day, classes enjoyed a range of fun activities, including book quizzes, a Michael Rosen writing show and some outdoor DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time in the Spring sunshine. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to relax with a good book while enjoying the fresh air.

We ended the day altogether in the hall, celebrating the wonderful effort and enthusiasm shown across the school. A special well done to the seven children who won the Most Cost-Effective Costume Awards for their imaginative outfits.
