Primary Shakespeare Company Prize-Giving 2024 at the House of Lords
In the Summer Term, we were lucky enough to win the Primary Shakespeare Company's Annie Williams Prize for all of our hard work on the musical 'Calpurnia'. This is a prize that is awarded to the school that shows the children's outstanding immersion in the play and curriculum, demonstrating impact through attainment and the wider school community as well as the classes. Winning this prize is truly a testament to ALL of the Year 5 children's hard work and we could not be prouder.
We were invited to a prize-giving ceremony at the House of Lords this week to receive our trophy. Ainara and Naomi represented Grange to share their thoughts about their own experience through the project which left the company's founders extremely impressed. We also met Estelle Morris - a current member of the House of Lords and previous Secretary of State for Education and Skills - who thoroughly enjoyed conversing with Ainara and Naomi about their experience.
Well done and congratulations to Klee Class and Matisse Class!
