Buddhism Workshop
On Thursday 3rd October 2025, Year 5 had the privilege of participating in a special workshop on Buddhism, led by representatives from the Lelung Dharma Centre.
We were honoured to welcome two Tibetan Buddhist monks visiting from India. The session provided a unique opportunity for the children to ask insightful questions—not only about Buddhism but also about the monks' personal experiences and way of life. The monks brought along several traditional items, including a small statue of the Buddha, which helped bring the teachings to life.
During the workshop, students learned about the Four Noble Truths and listened to stories from the life of the Buddha. They also took part in a guided meditation session, which they thoroughly enjoyed. To conclude the experience, each child received a bookmark featuring a poem as a thoughtful keepsake.
On this round planet Earth,
Humans have all kinds of faces
Though we'll never look quite the same
Please gently love one another!
The various kinds of religion
Are for different forms of thought
Though we may never quite unite them all
Please gently love one another!
Over countless vast mountains and valleys
There are all kinds of countries and lands
Though we may never be one global state
Please gently love one another!
