Anti-Bullying Week at Grange

Anti-Bullying Week at Grange: A Week of Kindness, Leadership and Action

Grange School marked Anti-Bullying Week with a powerful series of events that brought together pupil voice, creativity, leadership and community spirit. The theme of the week centred on kindness, inclusion and taking meaningful action — and our pupils rose to the challenge brilliantly.

Odd Socks Day – Celebrating Difference

Monday, 10th November 2025

We launched the week with Odd Socks Day, a fun and symbolic reminder that our differences make us unique. Pupils and staff proudly wore their odd socks to celebrate individuality and to reinforce the message that everyone is welcome at Grange.

Alongside this, our Student Council led a whole-school Anti-Bullying Assembly titled “The Power of Good”. They spoke about kindness, the importance of standing up for others, and the positive impact small actions can have on our school community. Their confident delivery set a warm and thoughtful tone for the days ahead.

Radio Grange Live: Kindness Podcast

In a Grange first, our Radio Grange team hosted a live podcast recording from the Dining Hall. Pupils shared poems, stories and heartfelt reflections about kindness and inclusion.

Their creativity and bravery in presenting live showcased true pupil leadership. The atmosphere was full of excitement as our young broadcasters spoke passionately about how kindness can change a school culture.

Highlights from the broadcast will be shared soon.

Parent Understanding Bullying Workshop – Led by Pupil Leaders

On Tuesday afternoon, our pupil leaders delivered an outstanding Parent Understanding Bullying Workshop to 34 attending parents.

Even with limited preparation time, the children confidently explained our behaviour system, responded thoughtfully during the Q&A, and demonstrated impressive maturity throughout.

A standout moment was Izan’s displacement essay, which captured parents’ attention — they listened intently and were genuinely impressed by the clarity and emotion in his writing.

We were also extremely proud of Mayssa and Abdulaziz, whose articulate responses earned brilliant feedback from parents.

The workshop not only strengthened home–school partnership but also showcased the capabilities of our young leaders when given the opportunity to lead.

Kindness Through Action: Litter Pick with Eco-Warriors and Playground Buddies

Thursday, 13th November 2025

To close the week, our litter pickers, Eco-Warriors and Playground Buddies took their kindness outdoors. Pupils put on their high-visibility vests and headed out to the playground and surrounding areas to collect litter and look after our school environment.

Their commitment to making a difference demonstrated that kindness is not just spoken about — it is lived through action.

A Week That Showed the Best of Grange

From odd socks and assemblies to podcasts, workshops and community action, Anti-Bullying Week at Grange showcased empathy, leadership and teamwork across the school.

Our pupils reminded us that kindness truly matters and that every small act contributes to a safer, happier and more inclusive community.

Grange is incredibly proud of every pupil who took part and helped to make this week a memorable and inspiring one.
